In agreement with the school management, we are conducting a study on explanations for physics lessons. The study is part of my doctoral project in physics didactics at the University of Education Schwäbisch Gmünd. The survey has been reviewed and approved by the Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs (reference number: KM31-6499-24/120/3 review based on the requirements of the administrative regulation ‘Advertising, Competitions and Surveys in Schools’ (21 September 2002 (K. u. U. S. 309), last amended by administrative regulation of 28 October 2005 (K. u. U. S. 167); no scientific quality control).

My work investigates a new approach to explanations in physics teaching. With the knowledge gained, I would like to contribute to a better science education.

The survey is conducted online using a learning environment that I programmed. The learning environment is processed during class under the teacher's supervision. In addition to the questionnaires, only gender, grade level, and the last physics grade are recorded. The data is stored anonymously and the data collection complies with the DSGVO. At no time can any conclusions be drawn about individual persons. Participation is voluntary and can be cancelled at any time without your child suffering any disadvantages.
